It's rumored Crazy 8 was driven mad by the Empire's bureaucracy and oppression. So maybe it's karma he became one of their biggest problems. Ransacking imperial suppliers and destroying many vital infrastructures. Really hitting them where it hurts.

To this day they still haven't rebuilt all of what he destroyed.
